So he tells Orel that he's not going to tell Orel that what he did was wrong because he did exactly what he said, they're only in here to create a smokescreen: a tool he uses to give Bloberta the impression that he's doing his job as a father. Bloberta wakes up, washes her hair, and gets ready for the morning. So Orel goes inside and tells Dr. Chosenberg that he's going to keep Jesus by his side so that the wound can get cured faster. He begins frightening kids in the hallway because they all run away once they see him coming close. While at the park with his family, Orel finds a stray dog who immediately takes an attachment to Orel. "Love", while one of the "silly" episodes, is about how the town of Moralton convinces Orel to put down his dog, mostly because the town found him annoying. This realization is dashed by his mother who informs him that because animals have no soul, they can't go to either Heaven or Hell and are meant to be eaten. When Orel goes to play rock, paper, scissors with Doughy, Orel punches him when Doughy chooses rock. After feeling sad, Orel perks up realizing that they'll see each other in Heaven. Orel sets the bobble head on the movable medicine table (that they were going to throw out) and positions it next to Dr. Chosenberg's bed. Bartholomew quickly spreads enough love around Moralton that convinces the adults that he is a danger. I'll post the scripts as I'm going along with the essay. They convince Orel to give up Bartholomew and the puppy is led away to his destruction. Orel goes inside and begins assulting his mother when she's dusting, and his father when he picks up the paddle he made for him in class (because they made fists to hold the items). Season 1 and most of Season 2 is just week to week fun-poking at religion and hypocrisy. He first goes to his father who tells him that love is merely temporary and Orel tries to distract himself. Orel wakes up listening to a song called Turn the Other Cheek by Presbo the Clown in Biblical Circus.
Later, Reverend Putty delivers a sermon, announcing that God wants the faithful to "love Jesus more than anything else in the world." For the next few days at school, Orel is getting beaten up every day by Walt (with the music of Orel is entertaining Block by being punched in the face by a machine with two boxing gloves. After being permitted to keep him as a pet, Orel names him Bartholomew and the two become inseparable with the dog being very popular around town. He cannot, but Doughy, whom Orel told of his problem earlier, arrives with a group of adults (who all hate the dog for the love and attention he gets from the children). When Orel gets home, he tells his mom that he had fun today because he taught Christianity.
