But Japan has much better technology when it comes to mixing & mastering music and they also win on the digital transfer to the disc it self. Definitely a collector's item if you are a fan of The Jimi Hendrix's Experience. IMHO those 2 versions (Japan, German) stand right up there sound wise as the original very rare 2 disc non "NoNoise" Reprise release. Although, this could possibly have alot to do with the amount of paper tabs I ingested in my teen years. The letter in question was penned by Hendrix in September 1968, just a month before the release of the seminal Electric Ladyland LP and he outlined very specifically what he wanted to be on the cover which was refused by his label which marred the relationship between them. Other than track listing (they both have the same sequence) which is different than the original Reprise disc, and Maybe just a little more bass on the imports but other than that I can tell no difference.
