We spent at least two hours roaming around the grounds. A must see if you are in the area! I would love to come back here to have a cute and relaxing picnic here. Wish we could've spent a few more days exploring. No rush at all. The trees and everything else was as or better than advertised. Once a year my husband an I visit the Charleston area, staying on the Isle of Palms, one and a half hours South of Brookgreen. The zoo area is included with admission the butterfly house is an additional fee. We also took the Oak Trail tour which was very interesting. Guards were rude during Mike Frost Concert.
