Originally designed with the help of the legendary Steve Scott, the record-setting course starts with a blast down Grand Avenue before opening up to nearly 2 miles of quintessential SoCal Pacific goodness. Carlsbad 5000 presented by National University is a full day of road racing on the seaside streets of Carlsbad, California. Please note that in order to qualify for age group awards, participants must wear their race bib with the chip intact. This iconic event features individual races for all ages and abilities, including Masters, Age Groupers, Party People, and the world’s fastest Elites! Weekend Schedule. Both rookie runners and serious speedsters alike enjoy running or walking in one of seven people's races. Information regarding award distribution will be provided before race weekend.
